My work is inspired by organic shapes and textures and is influenced by my daily photo-taking practice. Through the lens I focus on pattern, texture, light and shape. My personal style emerges out of a love for archiving and collecting memories in the world around me.

These photographs are selections from my photo-a-day journals and observations. The seasons often influence my color palette and what inspires me to collect. In the winter, snow textures and weather often create more monochromatic images. In the spring, colors, blooms and warmer light push me to create images with more complexity, patterns and color.
Through my lens, I capture shapes and angles, turning light into form. Both negative and positive shapes are important in my compositions. Cropping in on a subject allows me to focus on details that could otherwise go unnoticed.
